Discontinued CHA 40-20 FD – Fan Dipole Antenna

The CHA 40-20 FD Fan Dipole Antenna is a high frequency (HF) antenna designed to provide a field-tuneable resonant portable antenna for two of the most popular amateur radio bands.

This antenna will offer long-range communication on 7 and 14 MHz (40 and 20 m) bands using skywave propagation, plus short-range communication through Near Vertical Incidence Skywave (NVIS) propagation.

This antenna’s small size and robust build make it perfect for both short-term use at a campground or refuge, as well as long-term installation in an RV area or housing with limited outdoor space. It’s also durable enough to remain installed at a base station.

The Fan Dipole can be used on 40 and 20 m amateur radio bands without an antenna tuner. Additionally, by using a wide-range antenna tuner it is possible to extend operations to 17, 15, 12 and 10 m bands.
