Acom 500S Solid State 160-4 m Linear AmplifierThis compact, robust unit is perfect for both amateur radio enthusiasts and professional operators. It features a high-resolution, multi-functional 5-inch color display (108 x 65 mm, 800 x 480 pixels, 24-bit color) that provides all essential operational information and simplifies navigation through intuitive menus.

The Acom 500S offers versatile control options, including straightforward front-panel buttons and advanced remote capabilities through RS-232 or via the Internet with the forthcoming Acom eBox Ethernet Remote Control device. This amplifier is compatible with all transceiver models, requiring only a standard “ground on transmit” and less than 25 W of RF drive power.

One of the standout features of the Acom 500S is its ability to automatically track and switch frequency bands, either through a direct CAT connection to a transceiver or via its built-in frequency counter. This ensures seamless operation across different bands without manual intervention.

The amplifier is built with a rugged LDMOS transistor and includes continuous protection circuits that operate in all modes, enhancing its reliability and longevity. Data concerning protection trips are stored in non-volatile memory for troubleshooting and maintenance.Acom 500S Solid State 160-4 m Linear Amplifier

Designed for mobility, the Acom 500S is ideal for field operations and expeditions, thanks to its lightweight design and a built-in switching-mode power supply that operates across a 100-240 VAC range without the need for internal switches. Its Power Factor Corrected (PFC) and inrush limited supply ensures stable operation with unstable mains and generators.

Additionally, the amplifier’s exceptional electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) exceeds standard requirements, minimizing interference with nearby sensitive and powerful devices, thanks to its integrated radio-frequency filters. This makes the Acom 500S a reliable and powerful tool in any radio station setup.

RF OUTPUT 1 output has to be used for direct connection to Acom antenna tuners 04AT or 06AT only. Acom antenna tuners 04AT and 06AT support antennas within 160 to 6-meter bands.

RF OUTPUT 2 output has to be used for direct connection to the antenna or to a non-Acom antenna tuner. A well-matched antenna with an SWR below 1.5 can be connected to this output for any band. While low SWR is good for any band, it is extremely important on 6 and 4 m.

Complies with CE safety and electromagnetic compatibility requirements, as well as with the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations.
